Department of Clinical Surgery

Since 1996,  the day of restoration of the Faculty of Medicine at TSU, the Research Institute of Surgery has become a part of the сlinical base array, representing the clinical base of the Department of Surgery at the same time. Professor Badur Mosidze was the head of the department in 1996-2006, and Professor Merab Kiladze headed the department from 2006 to the present. From 2018, the name of the department is the Department of Clinical Surgery. The academic personnel of the department are staffed by highly qualified experts with vast experience, who in addition to the educational process are extensively involved in research and practice. The personnel of the Department actively participate in various international conferences, congresses and seminars both in Georgia and abroad as organizers, speakers and participants.
